Nice sighting. A head-on composition of this bird looks different, usually we go for a horizontal one :). Was it possible to try a lower angle (I know lying down might be difficult). Good details. Thanks for sharing.

Inside the reserve people are not normally allowed to get down from the vehicles. So lower angle becomes difficult. Sharpness is fine. White balance needs to be changed. Thanks for sharing.

Nice sighting. Nice front-view. About colours, Shri Sabyasachi has already advised you. Many of your rare captures will come out with natural colours.

It appears to me as a male Franklin's Nightjar (Caprimulgus affinis), also called Savannah Nightjar.
