Lovely pose of a malabar squirrel. Good eye contact and composition. Agree the image seems to be underexposed. The blacks near the hind leg area seem to have lost details. Good that you could get the full bushy tail. Thanks for sharing.

I agree that the image is a bit underexposed. I am not sure about the square composition. A vertical composition with less space at the left would have been better. Thanks for sharing.
