Nice eye contact and perch. As you have mentioned it is 80% crop, I would have liked some space at the top and bottom. There seems to be slight highlights below the eye, you can recover them in PP. Please post the EXIF details like ISO, aperture and shutter speed to help in commenting better. Thanks for sharing.

Nice eye contact and you seem to have got it good light which is a blessing for owls...In terms of compo I guess a vertical wud also have worked well here...

The composition is very tight. There is hardly any space on top and right. Rather than cropping tight, allowing some more space at the top and right to ensure separation between the owl and the frame edges will strengthen the composition. The whites are a bit bright. So toning it down will be good.

Is it perched on a wall? Thanks for sharing.
