We will be able to offer proper critiques if you let us know the camera, lens used, aperture, shutter speed, ISO and the amount of crop.

The head portion has been overexposed. I guess you were using a short lens and cropped this?

These beautiful birds nest in the hole in the river banks. Thanks for sharing.
