Striking colours. Nice to see it in the open. Good perch and eye contact. Moving the camera a bit more to the left would have helped to avoid the hint of the vertical branch(?) on the right edge. Thanks for sharing.

Nice one. The bill has been nicely documented. One can get an idea of the habits of this bird from its bill. The eye contact is nice. It is always tough to expose which clicking the male, due to its dark as well as shiny feathers. There are some blacks that have lost details. Was the original image underexposed? Thanks for sharing.

Excellent. Just want to know, did you crop the image? Or is this the full frame from the camera?

I use a Nikon system and have been wanting to buy the 300mm with 2x, but its way too expensive.

thanks everybody, no, it was not underexposed, but a 50 % crop. all that i have done is cropping, some noise reduction and sharpening.
