Spotted this Nilgai during our safari. We could hear calling of Chital from the other side which alerted this Nilgai I guess. We later came to know that a leopard had been spotted which was why the chitals were calling.

Nice alert pose. Like the display of habitat. A vertical framing or a rectangular framing with more space on the right would have enhanced the composition further. Thanks for sharing.

I agree with Mrudul. Some more space on the right would have been nice.

Dunbar Brander writes about Nilgais that its hide is not used and its flesh is also not good. Hindus also don't kill them due to religious reasons. Unfortunately, these days farmers in a number of states like Rajasthan, Haryana etc are demanding Nilgais to be killed. Lack of predators ensures that the population of Nilgai is more in those areas.
