Tough shot as you were pointing your lens overhead. A less steep angle would have been great. This looks like a very large crop. If the lens is not very good, then pointing directly against the light will result in the colour fringing at the boundaries of high contrast areas. Here you can see on the sides of the branch and also the out of focus bright highlight in the canopy.

Nice to see this small and beautiful bird from CKBS, Narendrapur which has found its rightful place in Bengali literature for its sweet whistling call. It looks like a non-breeding male. Nice pose. Thanks for sharing.SaktiWild

Nice to see it with a catch. Cute bird. The eye contact is nice. Tough conditions to photograph. Thanks for sharing.

Thanks Mrudul.I tried to manage with the background. You know they give very little time to adjust accordingly.

I do not know whether it is permitted to post the call/song in mp3 format ( directly or any third party link where it was uploaded) which was recorded. The bengali name is Fatik Jol and the call touches heart indeed.

Yes, the crop did some damage. But it was impossible to attain the elevation :-(.
