I shot this in P mode,as a result low shutter speed causes bad details.Expert comments.

Nice low angle. Good eye contact. It is better to you Av mode. That way you can set the aperture and ISO and the camera calculates the shutter speed. To get a higher/lower shutter speed you can adjust the ISO accordingly. Here in Av mode you could have used ISO 400, that would have given you shutter speed more than 1/100 to get better details. Thanks for sharing.

I agree with Mrudul. Your shutter speed was pretty low. To start with, you can use the Av mode as Mrudul suggested. When you half press your shutter button, the other settings like shutter speed will blink in the viewfinder. If you find the shutter speed to be low, as in this case, go and increase the ISO. You can't increase the ISO beyond a point, as that will give rise to lot of noise. (noise is a result of the higher amplification of the signal and your image will look grainy).
If possible, using a tripod or monopod helps. However, it cannot help when the subject is moving ie low shutter speed cannot arrest subject motion even if the camera and lens is mounted on a tripod.
