White Throated Kingfisher relishing hardearned Moth

I was enjoying the aroma of forest jasmine on the sambar road of corbett park when heared the chuckling of this kingfisher chake-ake-ake-ake-ake, tried to locate the direction when saw the kingfisher made the dive and then back on the branch with the catch. D7000, 500mm, f/13, aperture 5.3, exposure 1/2500, ISO 6400.:)

Interesting to watch these kingfishers feed on a variety of prey. The image needs a bit more brightness. A positive exposure compensation would have helped. Some more space at the top would have been good, as the tip of the beak has been cut off. A vertical composition would have also worked.

ISO 6400 is a lot. Lowering it by two stops and opening the aperture by a stop and reducing the shutter by a stop would have worked well. Thanks for sharing.
