Nice Photograph. Looks like Costus pictus of Costaceae. If the leaves have a typical sour taste, then the ID is right. Commonly known as the Insulin plant, used for reducing Blood sugar levels. Not a wild plant, but introduced into India for its anti-diabetic property.
