The perch and the eye contact is nice. The open beak looks good. There is loss of details. Which software you use for processing your images? Thanks for sharing.

thnx for the reviews...ya i agree, over sharpened a bit...

i use cs6...the main reason of loss of details is I think due to my camera & lens, getting sharp images in low light from sigma 150-500 is a bit of challenge...also, some details were removed in post processing due to noise reduction mainly because too much noise were added while brightness was increased as the bird was a bit dark due to its against sun & cloudy background...

When it is against the light, you need to give a +ve EC, that will get the subject well exposed, but the sky gets over exposed anyway. That works better than pulling up the shadows later. Also using neat image, takes out details, so it is better not you use and try to get the best in the field.

It is important to get the exposure right. If there is underexposure, then those areas will hold less details. You can check the tutorial: http://www.indiawilds.com/forums/showthread.php?t=2006

Nice perch and eye contact. I sometime think how such a small ' Koyel's Bagan(Garden)' can hold so many species of birds and immediately I realise the importance of fruit bearing trees when they grow old and older for survival of birds, Russel's Vipers and Cobras. Thanks for sharing.SaktiWild

thnx for the reviews & tutorial...

@saktipada - ya more than 50 species of bird have been recorded there including migrant species...the trick at ckbs is that u should have 3Ps with you (patience, persistance, and perfection) :001_smile:...i got this shot after my 15th visit to that place...though this bird is common there, it was difficult for me to get a decent shot...
