Nice eye contact. Reducing the saturation a bit would be good. A rectangular framing with more space on the right would enhance the composition further. Please post the ISO, aperture and shutter speed details. Thanks for sharing.

Did you use noise reduction? How was the processing done?

Good details. The orange patch might have been caused by injury or infection. Common Myna is a quarrelsome bird. Moreover, the Santragachi Jheel has become highly polluted. Thanks for sharing.SaktiWild

thnx for the reviews...iso 640, f8 aperture priority...and ya a little bit on the right would had been better....noiseware was used on cs6 to reduce the noise, also, there wasn't much noise due to bright light and the image being almost uncropped....
@saktipada - well, i don't think that it was because of injury, as the patch were of same colour on both eyes, but i highly agree with the mutation due to pollution...when i took the pic, the edge of the lake was full of plastic and other household wastes, and the myna was feeding from the wastes...

Actually this is may be a particular species-ACRIDOTHERES GINGINIANUS or commonly called the BANK MYNA .It generally characterized by brick red eye orbits and a lighter greyish colour.

nope I'm quite sure, its not a bank myna...main reason - yellow bill instead of orange, other reasons, brown body instead of grey, droplet shaped eye patch instead of square-like...
