Beautiful bird in an exotic weed. Its head is in shade. Else, it would have been better. Where exactly is this place?
This appears to be a large crop. A full frame image would have given much more details. You have mentioned 500mm. Which lens is that? Thanks for sharing.

Yes the light was indeed poor, very cloudy conditions. The place is near Jim Corbett National Park, near a small town known as Ramnagar. The lens is a Sigma !50-500 HSM lens mounted on a Nikon D3100. Thank you all for your comments!
