Nice feeding pose captured. If possible a lower angle would have been better. Please check the AF point. Also due to the crop, there is loss of details. You could have tried to include more space instead of cropping. Thanks for sharing.

I think you have used a narrow aperture. The focus is locked on the water, due to the higher contrast. In closeups it is very important to have details on the subject.
