The lighting was low. In kabini the ride height is always an issue for photographing these birds or small mammals on the ground. Light seems to be pretty low. Was it clicked during the morning safari or evening?

Capturing the colours and details of this birds plumage is always a challenge.They are there everywhere but so difficult to photograph. You have managed to get a nice image of the elusive fowl
