Sambars in NSTR - disturbed in midst of a game

Shot in NSTR, it was cloudy, low light. NSTR has received good rains this monsoon. There was a bunch of five Sambars, most likely females with a fawn.

Nice to see the image of Sambar in NSTR. They are more diurnal, therefore, I think the situation might have improved to a good extent. If Sambar is there, the Tiger will come back from adjoining forests. Wish such a large T.R will recover to its true potential. Thanks for sharing.SaktiWild

It is very important that the prey base comprising sambars, deers, wild boars etc remains at a good level. Tiger numbers can bounce back if the poaching and anthropogenic disturbances are eliminated. Thanks for sharing.
