This was photographed at Kabini,After 45 min of Leopard sighting we moved a head from that place, suddenly serpent eagle flew and sat on the branch with snake kill,Our naturalist Shivu told its Striped Keel back snake and it is a very rare Moment.

Light was very low and first time i was using this camera and not used to the changing of ISO settings quickly, i could manage only this.

Nikon D7100, Nikon AF-S NIKKOR 300mm f/4D IF-ED + AF-S Teleconverter TC-14E II/14E
F/6.3, 1/100s, ISO 640.

Lovely moment captured well Sucheth, Good image considering the TC was in use in low light. The image looks a bit soft for the focus lock seems to be on the green leaves to the left and the low shutter speed.

Loved the composition and good you could get the full snake and the environment in the frame in those few precious seconds of action.

Thanks for sharing

Great sighting. I wanted to see this for a long time. I had last shot a Crested Serpent eagle with snake about four years back :( .

The focus is locked ahead of the subject, on the leaves. That is why the bird appears soft. Sharpness depends upon the focus as well as on the shutter speed and stability of the platform/handholding techniques. In this case the lack of critical focus was the culprit. In such situations one often gets excited. Thanks for sharing.
