Nice walking pose captured. It does look like, as if it was watching you :-). The composition looks fine. Agree there seem to some loss of details. Thanks for sharing.

Were you on foot or shooting from a car? Since this bird was just walking slowly, the high shutter speed of 1/800 was not required. Lowering the shutter speed could have helped you in increasing the aperture to f8 for higher depth of field, thereby bringing in more of the grasses in focus. Thanks for sharing.
