I was unable to get a satisfactory shot because of the glare of the setting sun on the water and the mother was a little agitated by our presence (note the upright tail) Canon 60D +100-400mm fl100mm ISO 400 1/800s f5.6.

Nice sighting of a mother and fawn in water. Wish the grass in the foreground had not blocked the eyes of the fawn. The lighting was difficult. You could have tried giving a slight +ve exposure compensation as the mother and calf look slightly underexposed. The water splash looks nice. Thanks for sharing.

Nice sighting. The baby looks cute. The tails are raised to signal alarm. You can approach this scene in two ways. First is exposing for the subject so the bright water appears even brighter. Though this is not the against the sun - silhouette - situation, you could have also tried about two stops darker to get the side lighting prominent. Thanks for sharing.
