Finally able to captured this guy in camera without any hurry , this time he gave us an adequate time and pose to shoot him with camera.
He was so agile with his movement that by the time we focus on him and he is gone with the wind.
Shooting Mode Aperture-Priority AE, Tv( Shutter Speed )-1/640, Av( Aperture Value )-6.3, Metering Mode Evaluative Metering, ISO Speed 400, Canon 7D,
Lens 150-500mm— at Sunderbans

Lovely riot of colors on this bird. Oh yes, King fishers are extremely agile and are a challenge to photograph with good details. Great you were able to get it clear and without any obstructions.

Is this a crop ? For there is noise and a little detail loss. A slightly off centered composition with more space towards the space the bird is facing would have enhanced this beautiful portrait further.

Nice eye contact and beautiful space between the beak.

Pretty bird. Love its colours. I agree that less space at the left and more at the right would have enhanced the composition.
