Kachidah Dam on route no. 5 of ranthambore tiger reserve. The route is a straight drive of about 30 kms long from singdwar to gilasagar lake via Kachida, anantpura and bakola. This is one of the longest safari route of about 60 kms to and fro, and it passes through different kinds of habitat, from dense green to rocky areas consisting of dry shrubs. This shot was taken from the base of the Kachida chowki with Nikon D3100, Nikor 18-55 mm, at 8 stop, @ 18mm, ISO 100, 1/250s.

Nice painting. In earlier years when number of tigers were very few in Ranthambhore, Kachidah Valley was the place where sightings were common. Thanks for sharing.SaktiWild

This place has a history. Chances of tiger sighting used to be high in this area. I would like to be in this place in the morning sunshine to see if there is a tiger near by. The bright Sun occupies a large part of the scene and the tree stump in the middle of the foreground kind of dissects it. So moving to the right to ensure the Sun at the corner might have been a better idea. Thanks for sharing.
Cheers,

Nice effect of light and shadow. Wish the sun was slightly less harsh. Maybe waiting for few more minutes, you would have got the sun lower in the frame with less harsh light. That would have helped to get some nice colours in the sky. Nice composition. Thanks for sharing.
