Great one horned rhinoceros (Rhinoceros unicornis), the sole survivor of the three rhino species once found in subcontinent.
This was shot in Pobitora, Assam. Being a very small park devoid of large predators, Pobitora is currently one of the safest havens for this species, whence they are periodically transferred to Manas.

Canon Powershot SX10 (approx. 35mm equiv. FL 302mm)
SS 1/200
Av 7.1
ISO 100
EC -0.3
Full frame from elephant back, monochrome treatment with a small contrast boost

Thanks, C&C welcome. More rhino images to come.

Nice pose. The horn is fairly large for Indian Rhino. Thanks for sharing.SaktiWild

Nice sighting. Yes, the horns do look large. The b&w effect almost makes this resemble a negative film. Thanks for sharing.

Nice one. Wish there would have been a bit of light on the face. It was moved away and hence the shadow is on the face. Else it would have looked even better. Thanks for sharing.
