The species is declining owing to habitat degradation caused by agricultural encroachment. It is also declining owing to over-hunting in some areas.

Nice sighting of this shy bird. Good eye contact. The low angle looks nice. Slight more sharpness (seems there was a slight movement, not sure) would enhance the image further. Thanks for sharing.

Where was this shot? The image is soft. Did you upload a large file and the software converted it to a lower size? Did you upload an image larger than 300 kb or greater than 1024 pixels in the longest side.

Agree the image has gone soft. Lovely sighting in nice light, rare to achieve with this bird.
