During my last visit to Andaman I spotted this beauty gliding high on the sky, while I was waiting for a ferry. This mighty beauty came off from the sea side and headed towards the trees of Port Blair. This shot was taken during that traverse.

Nice sighting. White-bellied Sea Eagle (Haliaeetus leucogaster)-Juvenile, in my view. We see them in the Sundarbans towards the coastal side. Thanks for sharing.SaktiWild

Thank you Sir, had seen a pair of them the other day at other port too, unfortunately I had packed the camera in my bag, so couldnt capture that sight.

They are known for their devotion, same pair has been observed in successive years by some naturalists in the Sundarbans. The nest remains on the same tree, only it is reinforced every year.SaktiWild

Agree on the ID. Were there any others around? I have almost always seen adults in the close vicinity of immature sea eagles. These are abundant in Karwar, I don't think I have seen that large a population anywhere else I have been to. Seen a lot of nesting pairs there and even nests with fledglings.
