Photographed in Hemis National Park at Ladakh( Near Rumbak Village).

That day we decided to go and stay in Rumbak village and left our tents in the morning and trekked down towards Rumbak village and before going to the village we relaxed in one place and our guides went on scanning the mountains for snow leopards.
while coming we saw pug marks of snow leopard cubs and moms all along our way but we couldn't spot any snow leopard.
After Some time one of our tracker made signal saying that he spotted the snow leopard in the mountains and came down from where he was scanning and we all went in hurry to the place by the time he came down and started scanning that place where he saw snow leopard it was not there and all were scanning mountains through the spotter and suddenly one more guy started screaming wolf.. wolf... then every one started scanning the mountain where he showed.. initially one wolf was sitting on the ridge of the mountain literally i couldn't see any thing after some time i saw ears when it turned thats all.. then after few min other wolf walked towards the one sitting that time clearly we saw two wolf.

Our guide said that it was very difficult to sight wolf.. we are once again lucky enough to sight these species

The conspicuous Wolf (Canis lupus) of the Western Himalaya is moving alone on the edge, nice document. Thanks for sharing.SaktiWild

Its so amazing how nature has its share of living ingredients in any place on earth. In such inhospitable conditions the Himalayan Wolf is perfectly at home. Relaxed and calmly walking towards other pack members. Thanks for sharing.

Excellent sighting , this species is known to be more rare than snow leopard in same habitant.

Nice sighting of the Himalayan Wolf. This species is said to be different from the Tibetan Wolf and genetic studies suggest that they are not the ancestors of our dogs. The image of the landscape with the wolf appearing as a small spec gives us the true picture of the place. Just imagine how much we miss as our sight is not good enough. It is only with the help of spotting scopes and careful scanning of landscape that one can see them. Thanks for sharing.
