Pallas's fish eagle has a small, declining population as a result of the widespread loss, degradation and disturbance of wetlands and breeding sites throughout its range. It falls under Vulnerable category because of declining habitat and population, especially in India.

This shot was taken seconds before the eagle was landing on the branch of a dead tree about 50-60 m from us. Nikon D700, Nikor 300mm F2.8, @F13, exposure 1/640, ISO 200[/COLOR]

Beautiful wing spread and good patterns across the tail feathers. You can recover the blacks on the right wings in PP. A lower Aperture would have provided for a higher SS which in turn would freeze out more details.

Thanks for sharing
