This image is from Tadoba Andhari Tiger Reserve. The villagers had set fire to the forest causing immense damage. This fellow was probably trying is luck in the burnt areas.

Canon EOS 1D Mark II, EF 400mm f2.8 L IS USM, ISO 400, f2.8, 1/1600, crop for composition.

A very captivating shot there Sabyasachi. The eyes, the talons all add amazingly to the image. The light and the BG colour theme compliment the Bird's plumage...

Good composition. Sharp image.The dry and burnt branches do give a feel of the fire. Would have liked the light to be on the eyes. Nice perch.
