After a day of feeding in the swamps of Kanha the barasinghas still wet and carrying bits of swampy grass on their antlers return to their hard ground grazing fields for the night. The light was very poor but the image of the barasinghas slowly ambling back was fascinating.Canon 60D+100-400mm FL210MM 1/50s ISO800 F7.1.Nov evening 2013

Nice antlers, very well developed. Is it your eleven-pointer Hardground Barasingha! Very happy that they are coming back, this one compares favourably with the best I saw in March, 1975; only coat is less dark brown, it is possible. The colour will change with season. Thanks for sharing.SaktiWild

Behavior nicely observed and photographed. The grass on the antlers look nice. Moving the camera a bit more to the left, to place the barasingha to the right of the frame would have enhanced the composition further. You got it well even in the low shutter speed of 1/50. Thanks for sharing.
