Nikon D7000, Sigma 150-500, 400mm @ fstop 10, exposure 1/6400s, ISO 6400

On sambar road there is a place called khabdi, overlooking a small stream and some water pool formed by the flowing stream. This female dominates the area from Khabdi to gathiarow, fulai chaur with some parts of foothills of kanda.

It is always a pleasure to see a tiger in water. The water splash looks nice. A wider aperture like f8 with a lower ISO would have sufficed here. The composition looks fine. Thanks for sharing.

Mood nicely documented. Very healthy tigress, may be pregnant. It seems to me she was in the stream and not happy even with the sudden arrival of such a great lover of the Corbett. Thanks for sharing.SaktiWild

Nice scene.agree with mrudul on reducing the ISO and a wider aperture.

Nice picture Debasis da. The tiger is completely at home when in water. Never seen another predator enjoy so much in water as much as the tiger. The water splash looks nice too. Thanks for sharing.

1/6400 shutter speed is pretty high for a mammal and for most birds in flight. We don't often come across action that deserves such a high speed.

You were using ISO 6400. Reducing the ISO to 3200 ie. by one stop would have halved the shutter speed to 1/3200. Further reducing it to ISO 1600 would have given you 1/1600 th of second shutter speed. Similarly ISO 800 would have resulted in 1/800 shutter speed which is fine for a relatively lightweight lens at 400mm.

Slightly less space at the left and more at the right ie. a slightly off-centred composition would have been nice. Thanks for sharing.
