Nice angle, and the catch is a big plus. I guess you needed a slightly higher shutter speed for a better freeze. Have you run noise reduction on this image?

Subhash jee - thanks, I think the Bengali name is - Machhmarol; though not sure;

Abhishek jee - I was shooting ruddy shelducks when i spotted it; couldn't change the settings in that time, otherwise I would had used f 5.6... as mentioned, the image is cropped, sharpened and low intensity noise reduction was used...

Lovely picture and nice composition. With the dark's recovered and a little more details (maybe with a higher SS), this would be simply awesome. The low angle and the fierce eyes add to the great picture.

Ahhh .... What a scene! Not often we get to watch this. That is itself a blessing.

I think the focus didn't lock properly on the bird. Else the image would have been superb. Thanks for sharing.
