Did some birding in the outskirts of Mumbai. Spotted this Bluethroat female, couldnt spot the male. Light was a bit harsh.

My bird id skills is as rudimentary as a child's knowledge of arithmetic. I had earlier clicked a male blue throat in Chilika lake and it was more colourful with an extra black and brown patch http://www.indiawilds.com/forums/showthread.php?9144
So I guess this might be a female. However, I am travelling and don't have access to books. I am wondering if juvenile males of this species are closer in colouration to that of females.
