All roads for this particular tusker`s advance from the river basin into the forest was most unsportingly cut off by our jeep driver.Nikon 3200+55-300mm 1/500s ISO 400 F/5.6 FL 150 mm may morning 2013 Nagarhole.

Its so unfortunate that for pictures and sightings jeep drivers and guides restrain animals from moving about naturally. I have seen this in many parks, we should enforce strict punishments for inconvenience caused to animals. Don't know how far its possible though. Thanks for sharing.

Nice to see this tusker. I agree that more space around the elephant would be better as it gives a feeling of being cramped. Unfortunately the drivers try to block the path of the animals so that the photographers get more time to photograph. In one such incident, I was charged at by a tiger due to another jeep driver blocking the path of the Rajbehera Male (popularly known as bokha). http://www.indiawilds.com/diary/when-wildife-hits-back/

Nice to see almost horizontally carried, evenly curved, barrelled and thick tusks. The shocked elephant has no reply but to stare at.Thanks for sharing.SaktiWild
