Got a chance to do some birding in IIT Mumbai. Saw a fair number of birds, however I liked observing this raptor the most. Some crows were constantly disturbing it and the harrier spread out its large wings a couple of times to scare them off. They would go away and return again to disturb the bird. After sometime the crows gave up. This picture was taken at around 7.30am.

Nikon D7000,f/5.6, SS 1/1600, ISO 1600,ec +.3, 420mm (Nikon 300mmf4+1.4xTC), tripod support.

Beautiful details and eye contact. The sharp predatory looks of the bird is very much in evidenceI think the image could benefit with a little more light during processing. Thanks for sharing

Good image. It also appears to me to be Black Kite (Milvus migrans). Thanks for sharing.SaktiWild
