Pond heron

Its a common bird, overlooked by many photographers. I find it quite fascinating, especially for its plumage and its sheer beauty when flying with milk white wings and its streaked torso. I have been shooting it in various places whenever I see it, trying to bring out its beauty that I see. Here its pose caught my eye, in early morning light, shining golden on it. It and I were locked in eye contact for the duration of the shot and little beyond!
