While driving on the Navegaon road we spotted this bird trying to build its nest. I was religiously breaking up twigs from trees close by and building its nest in another tree. We observed this for quite some time. Sometimes it would try to break a bigger branch but would not be successful then would go for something smaller but would never give up a trip to its nest without a twig in its beak.

Nice eye contact and catch light. The crest looks nice. Wish the twigs infront of the beak were not present. Don't think any other angle would have helped to get the bird more in the clear :-(. Nicely captured. Thanks for sharing.

Since the Oriental Honey Buzzard was breaking twigs it would have been difficult to get a pleasing composition without the twigs criss crossing infront of its head. Nevertheless, that would have been great. The eye contact is nice. A bit more depth of field would have been nice as from this position it is always difficult to get the tail and head in focus due to the varying distances from the focal plane. Thanks for sharing.
