Nikon D3100, Nikkor 70-200 F2.8, 200mm @ f/4, 1/250s, ISO 400. White Rumped Shama sightings are not very frequent, I would call it rare. In my last 120 days of stay inside Corbett national park over last 3 years, have sighted this bird only twice. First sighting was on the side main road from Dhangari gate to Dhikala near Khinaunouli in lantana bush, extremely difficult to photograph. Second sighting was this one. If can locate the first photo will post it for records.

Nice sighting of this colorful bird. The lighting was difficult. Agree with Roopak about the id. Thanks for sharing.

Thanks Roopak for correcting me. I can recollect the guide telling me Blue bearded bee eater and I kept on saying him white rumped shama. Sometimes it does happen your brain gets stuck and you believe in that, and thats what has happened. Thanks once again. Cheers Debasis Bose
