Scientific name: Haliastur indus
I always liked them. In childhood days we used to consider their sighting as a good omen.

I had clicked this in 2007 on my way to Mysore. They were diving to a stream below.

Canon EOS 1D Mark II, Canon EF 300mm F4L IS USM,

I like the angle of the image. The golden rim on the feathers looks nice too. But light was from the other direction, so the underbody is in the shadows.

Lovely details. The bird facing the light would have enhanced the image further. Nice composition

Great light here. I suggest a square-ish crop as I think an even BG would suit this better.
