Shot this in Tal Chappar in Feb...had a great time with wading birds too, never expected Chappar to be so rich in these birds. Saw the little snipe as well as the common sandpiper, common Greenshank & Redshank too.

Shot with the Nikon D90, Nikkor 300 mm f4 + TC 14E, at 420 mm, ISO 400, 1/1000s - F/7.1, +0.7EV

Nice to see it feeding. I too thought Tal Chappar was best for sighting raptors. Good that you could sight lot of wading birds. Is there a big water body, or is it due to recent rains? Thanks for sharing.

Interesting to hear that this has been clicked in Tal Chappar. You appear to be shooting from a higher area. If possible shooting from a position bit more to the left and lower would have helped in the complete outline of the reflection and may have strengthened the situation. Thanks for sharing.
Cheers,

There is a place near a village close to the FRH where there are couple of small water bodies, more like a wetland. Yes, this was also due to good rains this time.

Sabyasachi - wish I could do so, this was a blink and you miss it kind of shot as the sandpiper flew off as soon as took the shot
