I saw a very thriving herd of many young elephants at different stages of growth .Nikon3200+18-105 FL58mm F/6.3 1/250s ISO200 Corbett national park April evening 2014.

Nice sighting of a big herd with 4-5 females and their calves. The one in the front looks like the matriarch. I like the composition. Thinking if possible zooming out a bit more to include the mountains in the background would have been nice. Thanks for sharing.

Mridul,I do have images of this herd including a larger number of elephants with the hills and sky in the background.Unfortunately the sky has highlights which puts the elephants in the dark.

Wow, awesome composition. the low angle adds to the lovely frame. Agree with Mrudul on the mountain lines. Maybe a little bit of positive exposure compensation (not on this one, but where you say the elephants are blacked out) would help with opening up the blacks.

Back to this picture, though the saturation seems a bit on the higher side, the angle, composition and mood makes it a perfect living room frame up.

thanks for sharing

Rajan, while the images of elephants and stags have been taken with one set of camera equipment the wild boar has been taken with another. The saturation may be high as both were on landscape mode. But the blue tinge angle I do not understand. There was always a haze on the landscape.Could that be an x factor?.Visibility was always a problem.

Maybe it is the landscape mode. Next time, try a same shot on AV mode on the same composition and that may help narrow down the cause.
