Litte Stint?

Spotted this curious yet conscious wader at Gorai jetty, past weekend. It was too busy fishing out some thing for its appetite, early in the morning, yet consciously kept itself safe distant away. I observed an interesting behaviour where it would repeatedly, 5-8 times, poke into the marsh and move ahead, quiet similar to the woodpecker's stroke, but with way too less effort. This pick was an attempt to capture that repetitive action.

This was one of the better results I could get, as in other attempts the motion wasnt getting captured in a proper manner (due to comparatively higher speed)

Nice effect. The shutter speed was quite less to capture the motion. When shutter speed is less, the subject or the body part which is in motion gets blurred, where it can be used to create artistic images. Unless the head and eye are relatively sharp, the motion blur technique fails. So photographers often use a slight flash.

In wildlife photography, since many photographers don't like to use flash, motion blur is best seen while panning or images where the subject's head is sharp but tail or leg is blurred indicating some interesting movement. You can check the below link for more details on motion blur photography -
