Nice eye contact. The red crest looks good. Slight off-centered composition would be nice. I feel a vertical composition would have also worked well here. Thanks for sharing.

Nice shot. Try lifting the shadows in the grade, if shot raw.

These are fast moving birds and it is good that you could get it with your compact camera. Wish you were a bit more to the left. That would have avoided the vine directly appearing behind its head. Nevertheless the bird is focused and details have come out well. Since this is shot against the light, the bird is a bit dark. You can increase the brightness during postprocessing. Thanks for sharing.

Thanks Mrudul, Roopak, Param and Sabya for sharing your views. It was against the light but for me the USP was that it was not moving and i clicked a dozen of photos. i selected this as it is showing the golden back, most of others are side profiles though some of them more nearer and sharper.
