I like the composition and the eye contact. I would have wanted some more depth of field, however I am not sure if it was achievable in the prevailing circumstances. Were you handholding or did you shoot with a tripod?

Nice light. Closer if possible would have been better, but this isn't bad. Nicely composed.
How is this bird identified? I'm pretty bad at identifying the female thrushes.

I found the background very cluttered, hence to isolate the subject, I used a wide open aperture. This was shot handheld.

Hi Abhishek,
The easiest way to identify it is with the barring on the breast of the bird. Its name is deceiving as its nomenclature is based on the features of the male. I remember having clicked this bird (female) a few years back and running all over trying to identify it. Roopak id'ed it for me if I remember correctly.
