This was a completely freaky shot on a foggy morning boat Safari at Kabini
I was mounting the 400 Prime on to the 5D Mark II, while this 5D Mark III mounted with a 100-400 was by my side. My little niece who was also on the boat had obviously been quietly fiddling with the MIII and i did not notice it.
Out of the blues this tern swooped down near the boat, and i instinctively grabbed the MIII and the 100-400 and let go a flurry. Only then did i realize the ISO was at 10000!!! Even at that high ISO, the noise (near the head & eyes) seemed bearable which possibly reflects the capability of the 5D M III
5D M III, 100-400, F4, ISO 10000, 1/8000 SS, +.07 EC, Hand Held, a small crop to the left (maybe 5%) to remove a background wingtip of another bird
regards
