A prime specimen of an adult male Blackbuck, one of the most striking and beautiful antelopes in the world and endemic to India. I surprised it while crossing this road and it paused to examine the oddity I presented with my camera and lens pointing at him! It was quite close...this is full frame.

Shot with the Nikon D90, Nikkor 300mm f4 + TC14E, at 420mm, ISO 250, 1/2000s, f/6.3

Where was this clicked? Some more space at the bottom would have been better as that would have increased the separation between the blackbuck and the frame edge. At 420 mm it is not always easy to get the framing right. Did you try a vertical? Thanks for sharing.
Cheers,

Nice freeze kaustuv. details and eye contact are good. agree with patra sab a vertical will ensure space at the bottom and also exclude the partly covered buck on the left.

Nice image of the male blackbuck, exclusively Indian and prettiest of all antelopes. Thanks for sharing.SaktiWild

Thanks. Sabyasachi - No, did not have time for trying a vertical as this blackbuck quickly crossed..
