I wanted to see this bird for a while, thankfully I could spot it at Tunganath. It was friskily hopping place to place and didn't stop for a single idle moment. Managed to make this image. The white on the head is the tricky one, tends to get over exposed. Light was quite low.

Nice sighting. Good eye contact. The composition with the wild yellow flowers in the background look nice. Thanks for sharing.

Thanks for pointing that out Roopak. I realized that the image size was over 300kb inspite of being within the 1024 x 1024 co-ordinates, therefore it re-sized automatically and hence the softness. I have re-sized it from my end and uploaded again. This looks sharper.

Nice to see it in its habitat. How much of a crop is this? The focus appears to be infront of the bird. You should be able to judge it better by watching the original capture at 100%. Because of the nice flowers, I would have loved a deeper depth of field, but you were already at f7.1 and unless you had stopped down a further 2.3rd of a stop if not 1 full stop the increase in depth of field may not have been very apparent. Thanks for sharing. Look forward to more.

Nice capture... Probably all Himalian birds are prettier than southern birds.... In my opine. Thanks for sharing. The sharper is better..

Nice habitat image. Both the great songbirds - Salim Ali's favourite Greywinged Blackbird and Krishnan's White-rumped Shama are found in the Himalaya. Thanks for sharing.SaktiWild
