While travelling from Shimla to manali, I was allowed to stop as many times as I want, while I spotted A malbar whistling thrush I asked our driver to stop, but he stoped some 50 meters far ahead. I missed the thrush. Then I saw this beauty who happily posed for me.

Nice sighting. Good that others tolerated your frequent stoppages. :)

Were you expecting it to fly away and hence used the 1/3200 shutter speed? Else, you could have reduced the ISO and the shutter speed. Thanks for sharing.

nice clean Bg and good eye contact. if it was in manali you probably spotted a Blue whistling thrush.

It was on the way from Shimla to Manali. We did spotted Blue whistling thrush, I had posted one earlier
