The call of the smallest frog in India- the miniature night frog (Nyctibatrachus minimus)
The adult males of this species are just over a centimetre long. This was recorded from just a few inches' distance.
Recorded at a stream in shola forest near Kakkabe, Kodagu (Karnataka) at approx. 1400m amsl. The known records of this species are restricted to the hills in this locality (Wayanad).
