A view of the hills near Charmadi Ghat (Dakshin Kannada district, Karnataka).

This ghat offers some of the best views of shola-grassland habitats in Karnataka. The forests in this image are part of a reserve forest adjoining the southern edge of Kudremukh Tiger Reserve.
It was raining at the time of clicking this image. I am beginning to really like the 100mm focal length for compressed landscapes. I have occasionally used this lens for landscapes in the past, but over the last two months in the Western Ghats, this was the only lens I used for landscapes. :)

Canon 500D, Canon 100mm Macro USM
SS 1/500
Av 4.5
ISO 400
EC -0.7
Full frame

More to come.
Thanks, C&C welcome.

The many layers in this image gives a perception of depth. The forests look lovely.

The best lens is the one you have when you need to click. :) Having many lenses but unable to carry those into the field means nothing.
Thanks for sharing.
