A Wayanad Night Frog Nyctibatrachus grandis in its habitat. This was a small crevice between two rocks with water from a stream falling between them. The frog was guarding its egg clutches (the eggs can be seen adhering to the roof of the crevice).

Like this image Abhishek.... nice showcase of the many elements to which it is intricately connected . Shows the delicately balanced relations with its sorroundings also a reminder of how even small disturbances can have a major impact on many such species.

Nice details and good eye contact... frogs always look like having this smug and sarcastic expression on them.

Good you could observe and capture this frog with the eggs. Agree with Roopak, even a small crevice can be home to many such species. Good details and sharpness. Very well captured. Thanks for sharing.

This is a lovely habitat image. As mentioned by Roopak, one can see the intricate relationship between the species and its habitat. That is why this image is much more beneficial than shallow depth of field images. Thanks for sharing.
