Another beauty spotted during the walk at S.G.N.P., this beauty was actually spotted by the keen eyes of my wife. But this shy beauty went under the leaf while she tried to capture it in camera. After several attempts of persuading it to come to the top of the leaf, as the shrub was too small and low, it momentarily came to the top and at that moment I captured it with reverse lens, though not the best shot with very less details, but seemed to be the only decent one. Absence of light all around made the picture blurry with my Canon S5IS (wife was using). The bright orange colour made this spider stand out on the leaf and was surely prone to any predator, I guess it was out of place on this shrub and might be it took refuge onto this plant momentarily.

The eye contact is nice. Agree the bright yellow colour with black stripes is very striking. Good to know your wife too is interested in photography :). Thanks for sharing.

Nice. This is a lynx spider (Oxyopidae). Note the spiny legs and the hexagonal eye arrangement.

TFS. It might be time to invest in a dedicated macro lens :)

My passion for photography has pulled in my wife too, but she is more like a photographer on occasion, otherwise she stays out of it...Abhishek, a macro lens is a dream still suspended in my dreams, hopefully by next year I shall be able to dedicated-ly siphon out enough funds for it :)
